VIBRATING ROLLERS AND COMPACTION OF BITUMINOUS MIXTURES
LES ROULEAUX VIBRANTS ET LE COMPACTAGE DES ENROBES
The authors summarize a study conducted in excavation pits at the "Centre d'Experimentations Routieres" in Rouen (Road Experimental Centre). The aim was to investigate the influence of a number of parameters on compaction quality. The parameters studied were: the number of passes, compacted material, compaction, temperature, compacted thickness, type of equipment, frequency of the vibrations of the out-of-balance weight shaft.
