NOISE STUDIES FOR THE MAGLEV SYSTEM

The planning and execution of new transport projects is becoming increasingly difficult, with the question of the noise nuisance playing a major role. Owing to the contact-free support, guidance and drive system, magnetic levitation offers relative quietness even at high speeds. The given data is based largely on calculations and measurements obtained from the magnetic levitation programme being assisted by the Federal Minister of Research and Technology.
