THE DEFLECTION AND EXPANSION OF PIPE BENDS FOUND RAPIDLY BY MEANS OF NOMOGRAPHS
Pipe expansion bends are subjected to deflections, the magnitudes of which are a function of bending stress, pipe diameter and wall thickness, bend radius, pipe flexibility, and the temperature difference. A nomograph for the rapid calculation of the deflection and expansion of these pipe bends is presented by means of diagrams and worked examples.
