EXPANDING CONTAINER DEMAND TO DICTATE SHIP AND PORT REQUIREMENTS?
Four distinguished shipping and port personalities were recently invited by Cargo Systems to debate the subject of ship demand in the medium term and the foreseeable impact on port and terminal operators. In the first part of this two part article, the views expressed by the participants on topics fundamental to this guestion, such as, world trade development, ship types required, and growth in the reefer sector, are outlined.
