HEATING IN CONVERTER-FED ASYNCHRONOUS MOTORS
ERWAERMUNG DES UMRICHTERGESPEISTEN ASYNCHRONMOTORS
The degree of heating of stator and rotor in an asynchronous machine is limited: within the rotor by the strength of the squirrel cage and possibly by the heating of adjacent bearings, within the stator by the working life of the insulation. After demonstrating the importance of calculating in advance the degree of heating in operation, the article describes the effects of the thermal dimensioning of a converter-fed asynchronous traction machine.
