DEFORMATION OF PASSENGER CARS ON UNDERRIDE PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
VERFORMUNGSVERHALTEN VON PERSONENKRAFTWAGEN AN UNTERFAHRSCHUTZEINRICHTUNGEN
The impact of cars on underrun prevention equipment was examined. The level of the underrun protection beam had a great effect on total deformation and the impacting forces. A comparison of dynamic collision tests with quasi-static deformations of underrun protection equipment indicated the strength of the underrun equipment required for static tests. (TRRL)
