METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF CONTAINER TERMINAL SIZE AND FACILITIES
The determination of the size of container terminals and the selection of the container terminal facilities/equipment can be a very expensive gamble. This article seeks to illustrate the problems facing the port operator through a method developed recently by a major US container shipping company. The method will be seen as providing a supply "to satisfy a demand" within the confines of the container port operating schemes which exist today.
