ON-BOARD DIGITAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

An intercom system for use on board ships, based on digital time-division data interchange, was developed for the French Navy. The system provides integrated telephone, intercom, radiotelephone and public address services. For safety reasons a double cable loop is provided, connecting double master stations and a number of users.
