OPTIMAL LOAD DISTRIBUTION IN THE 110-KV RAILROAD POWER SUPPLY NETWORK OF THE WEST GERMAN RAILROAD SYSTEM

OPTIMALE LASTVERTEILUNG IM 110-KV-BAHNSTROMLEITUNGSNETZ DER DEUTSCHEN BUNDESBAHN

The problem of controlling the process of energy distribution within the 110 kv railroad network by process computer requires a certain procedure for establishing, during future short intervals, a utilization plan for the participation of the power stations involved in the necessary energy generation. The aim is to minimize costs. In doing this, technical and economical restrictions caused by treaties have to be considered. Based on the different properties of these two groups of auxiliary conditions, a two-stage optimization model is demonstrated: a linear setup for the superposed medium-term and a nonlinear one for the short-term optimization. Methods for the solution of these tasks are presented which try to make the best possible use of the given structual facts.
