MEASUREMENT OF NOISE - NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL STANDARDISATION
GERAEUSCHMESSUNG -NATIONALE UND INTERNATIONALE NORMUNG
Efforts to decrease noise to protect the environment require a large number of noise measurements. The measurements may be used to provide information on the observance of prescribed limit values or to indicate the efficiency of noise reduction measures. Great importance is attached to comparable measuring procedures which can be checked, reliable equipment, and uniform presentation of the results. Attempts are being made to fulfil these requirements by working out suitable standards.
