The thermal conductivity coefficient of peaty soils subjected to freezing-thawing cycles was determined as a function of their degree of saturation and non-frozen water content. The quality of the non-frozen water depends on time and temperature. A formula is proposed for the calculation of the coefficient. (TRRL)
