WITHDRAWAL OF THE DRIVING LICENCE - PRECAUTION OR PUNISHMENT?

DIE ENTZIEHUNG DER FAHRERLAUBNIS - MASSREGEL ODER STRAFE?

The author considers whether a change in the law regarding the withdrawal of driving licences is necessary and possible. It is proposed that provisional withdrawal of the driving licence be regarded as a precautionary measure, and final withdrawal as a penalty. This would bring about flexibility. The author rejects proposals for the withdrawal of licences for a trial period. (TRRL)
