THE TSM ERMONT DRYING AND MIXING UNIT

The author describes the modifications made to the prototype following the recommendations issued by the Ministere de l'Equipement and the firm which had used the machine. The recommendations applied particularly to the mobility of ancillary elements (hydraulic de-duster, storage bin for mixtures). It was also requested of the manufacturer to complete the data on the road quality of the unit by measuring energy savings due to the utilization of the TSM and on the acceptable level of dust produced. Reports from several organizations agree that the unit had been improved as suggested. (TRRL)
