EFFECT OF SHIP MOVEMENT ON CONTAINER HANDLING RATES
Simulated loading techniques were used to study the effect of two types of ship movement on container handling rates. A theoretical model is established and results show that a stiff mooring system can improve handling rates in ports suffering significant ship movement.
