DISTORTION CAUSED BY TRACTION LOADS IN PUBLIC ELECTRICITY SUPPLY SYSTEMS
The paper describes the effect of ac traction loads on typical 3-phase supply systems. Analytic methods and the acceptability criteria by which these effects are judged are discussed. Recordings from existing feeder stations are given. System studies are recommended as a means of minimizing hardware costs.
