COMPARISON OF FREQUENCY CONVERTER SYSTEMS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES WITH THREE-PHASE CURRENT TRACTION MOTORS
VERGLEICH DER UMRICHTERSYSTEME FUER TRIEBFAHRZEUGE MIT DREHSTROM-FAHRMOTOREN
Operating asynchronous motors in three-phase current on motor vehicles requires an electrical supply with modified voltage and frequency, which is obtained by means of a converter system on the traction current network. The system consists of a network current rectifier, which enables a system of constant voltage to be produced, an intermediary circuit for storing energy and a motor current rectifier of which there are several types. The rectifier system has to be chosen according to the type of traction current network, the amount of reaction and disturbance which can be tolerated or the return power supply.
