VALVES AT SEA
This presentation attempts to provide a descriptive analysis, albeit brief, regarding the usage of marine valves in the worldwide shipbuilding industry. While this paper principally covers valve types used in a ship's steam power plant, limited attention is also given to other types of valves used for applications oather than the steam plant system. Furthermore, major emphasis is given to specific valve designs, their unique characteristics, and the end user benefits available to the marine engineer which will aid him in determining the right valve for the job.
