TESTS ON CONTINUOUS CONCRETE BEAMS WITH PRESTRESSED REINFORCEMENT

Continuing the investigation of simply-supported rectangular concrete beams reinforced with precast, prestressed concrete elements in place of conventional reinforcement, the present paper describes the experimental behaviour of continuous beams reinforced with prestressed elements in the central hinging region. Tests on seven, two-span continuous rectangular beams are reported and discussed. Suitable charts to obtain hinge rotations are marked out and presented. (a)
