MEASURING BOLTS WITH STRAIN GAUGES ATTACHED. LABORATORY AND IN-SITU TESTS
BOULONS DE MESURES EQUIPES DE JAUGES EXTENSOMETRIQUES- ESSAIS AU LABORATOIRE ET IN SITU
The organization Cerchar has developed a new strain. measuring device. The gauges are placed along a coaxial cylindrical cavity with a bolt similar to those used as sealing bolts. Laboratory and in-situ tests enabled the properties of the device to be verified. The device can be used to compare the behaviour of different types of bolts or as a strain gauge to observe the behaviour of a bolted mass. (TRRL)
