STROBE SYSTEM ENHANCES GRADE CROSSING SIGNALS
A new concept to enhance existing grade crossing warning signals is under test by Chessie System. An array of three blue strobe lights is mounted on a signal background screen that surrounds the existing flashing red signal light. Numerous factors were considered in designing the auxiliary strobe warning system.
