Integrated work safety of public transport drivers

This study looks at the use of an integrated risk management model to assess the work safety of bus drivers. Topics discussed include the interaction of safety and security in the human-machine-environment (H-M-E); safety as a priority in modern life; and the behavior of drivers versus the behavior of passengers. The model is applied to an incident that occurred in Košice, Slovakia on September 22, 2014, when a bus driver attempted to bar a drunk man from boarding the bus and was attacked and injured.
