CLOSED CIRCUIT TV SHAPES UP
With elimination of automatic car identification, the use of closed circuit television is gaining acceptance for car checking. An ad hoc committee of the AAR Communication and Signal Division has examined the needs of this system. Among the needs are a uniformity in car stenciling; the need for optimum (not convenient) camera sites; importance of telecommunications links; and importance of maintenance.
