HIGH-PERFORMANCE ASPHALTIC CONCRETE CONTAINING POLYVINYLCHLORIDE WASTE PRODUCTS

BETON HYDROCARBONE ROUTIER DE HAUTE PERFORMANCE A PARTIR DE DECHETS DE POLYCHLORURE DE VINYLE

The author briefly describes a new asphaltic concrete: "Compo 2020" containing a modified binder consisting of 80% aromatic petroleum asphalt and 20% of a polyvinylchloride waste product. Details are given of the preparation of the binder, sources of pvc waste products, sources of aromatic petroleum asphalt and the price of one ton of this mixture is compared with that of copolymer bitumens. The fields of application of the mixture are mentioned with some sites where the latter has been used. (TRRL)
