THE FUEL CONSUMPTION OF A CAR CAN BE DECREASED BY 30 PERCENT

The car is considered as the most fuel guzzling transport mode by many political parties and pressure groups. But the biggest users of energy are households and industry. However, improvements to the car and the motor can decrease the fuel consumption of the car. The author estimates that all possibilities together can decrease the fuel consumption of the car by thirty per cent. (TRRL)
