SCHULISCHE UND AUSSERSCHULISCHE VERKEHRSERZIEHUNG. STAND UND PLANUNG DER FORSCHUNGSAKTIVITAETEN DER BUNDESANSTALT FUER STRASSENWESEN

Since 1973 the Bundesanstalt fur Strassenwesen (Federal German Highway Engineering Research Association) has strengthened its research activities in the traffic education field, with the aim of producing empirical ground rules, from which traffic education measures could be derived and founded and from which instruction units could be provided on a curricular basis. The paper discusses the research concept of the Bundesanstalt, results available from individual traffic education projects and current or planned research projects. (TRRL)
