AN IMPORTANT AID TO ENERGY CONSERVATION
EIN WICHTIGES HILFSMITTEL ZUR ENERGIEEINSPARUNG
Aerodynamics was demonstrated scientifically to be an important factor in the development of car bodies in the years immediately before the war. Subsequently, this knowledge was forgotten and was rediscovered when the oil crises brought pressure to bear for energy savings. The aerodynamic design of bodies, resulting in low air resistance, can considerably decrease the fuel consumption of a car, and this can also apply to lorries. In this paper the current state of development is demonstrated. (TRRL)
