HEART-RHYTHM DISTURBANCES AND DRIVING EFFICIENCY
HERZRHYTHMUSSTOERUNGEN UNDVERKEHRSTUECHTIGKEIT
The following heart-rhythm disturbances, which can significantly affect vehicle control, are individually discussed: extrasystolic beats, paroxysmal tachycardia, acute auricular fibrillation, adams-stokes attacks, carotid syndrome, and heart-rhythm disturbances due to infarctions and to defective pacemakers. After a brief general description of the individual problems, special attention is given to their effect upon driving ability, and there is also some discussion of treatment and prophylaxis. This paper was presented to the KVDA conference in Frankfurt, 1st February 1978. (TRRL)
