CONTAINER BUILDING GERMANIC STYLE
After more than a decade in the business, the West German container industry looks set to enter the 1980s in as healthy a state as could be expected in the light of current international problems associated with box manufacture. Still strongly committed to production of both steel and glass-fibre reinforced plywood (grp) units, the industry is ever moving into areas of greater diversity and design. The article includes an interview with two of Germany's largest container manufacturers, B&W Transportsysteme GmbH (BWT) and Graaff KG, in which future trends in container manufacturing are explored.
