DEVELOPMENT OF COMBINED SUPERCHARGING FOR THE NEW SAURER D4KT DIESEL MOTOR

ENTWICKLUNG DER KOMBINIERTEN AUFLADUNG AM NEUEN SAURER-FAHRZEUGDIESELMOTOR D4KT

A newly developed diesel motor produced by Adolph Saurer AG has high torque capabilities which are desirable for goods vehicles. This motor, without any alteration to the geometry of the basic motor, provides low fuel consumption and low emission values in addition to increased maximum torque and level efficiency curve. The improvement is secured through the use of a combined supercharger system. The arrangement, construction and method of operation of the combined supercharger are described. (TRRL)
