METHOD OF PREDICTING THE LEVEL OF VIBRATION OF STRUCTURES AND SOILS ON THE BASIS OF TEST RESULTS
METOD PROGNOZIROVANIYA UROVNYA KOLEBANIJ SOORUZHENIJ I GRUNTOV PO REZUL'TATAM OPYTOV
A method is presented for determining: the vibrations of structures or foundations under large machines, dynamic contact stresses, as well as a level of vibration of the soil and structures in the vicinity of the future vibration source. The method is based on the fact that the subgrade is a dynamic linear system. It relies on experimental data obtained by measuring the harmonic vibrations of a slab of small dimensions. The results of the tests are presented. (TRRL)
