INFLUENCE OF THE MODE OF LAYING A SUBGRADE ON ITS STATE OF STRESS
VLIYANIE KHARAKTERA FORMIROVANIYA OSHOVANIYA NA EGO NAPRYAZHENNOE SOSTOYANIE
The article gives the results of a study carried out on sand, laid in a vat of cube shape of 8 M side, to a thickness of 4.5 M (either by dropping in position 4 M, or by dropping in material in 0.5 M layers, course by course, then compacting). The tests were carried out with rectangular plates (3 x 0.6 M), complemented by tests using circular plates of 1.5 and 0.75 M diameter. The results show that the contact pressures and the stresses at depths vary in accordance with the method of laying sand, in such a manner that it is necessary to take this variability into account during the analysis of all tests results.
