DETERMINATION OF THE NOISE CHARACTERISTICS OF BALL GRINDING MILLS
OPREDELENIE SHUMOVYKH KHARAKTERISTIK SHAROVYKH MEL'NITS
Ball grinding mills may be characterized by the noise emitted in the course of operation. This article proposes a method of calculating the noise characteristics (level of acoustic power in octaves) based on the solution to the problem of noise emitted by the drum of the mill during the fall of the balls. A formula gives the characteristics sought on the basis of measured acoustic pressures. The values calculated are in good agreement with the results of direct measurements. (TRRL)
