INFLUENCE OF UNDERGROUND ENGINEERING WORKS ON HYDROGEOLOGICAL CONDITIONS OF THE SUBURBAN AREAS
In underground engineering and construction reaching below the groundwater table there occurs a change in its flow regime (the uplift and hydrostatic pressures are increased, local increases of filtration rate and danger of suffosion occur). The extent of this influence depends on the geological and hydrogeological conditions of the locality. The paper documents the groundwater flow regime change in suburban areas of Bratislava. It is shown that older archive recordings of the groundwater table can under the influence of recently built underground objects change permanently to a relatively considerable extent.(a) (TRRL)
