DETERMINATION OF MAXIMUM CRACK WIDTH IN REINFORCED CONCRETE SKEW AND RECTANGULAR SLABS

A method is proposed for the determination of maximum crack width in reinforced concrete skew slabs subjected to uniformly distributed loading and is extended for rectangular slabs. The method has been used to determine the maximum crack width of 25 skew slab test results and 72 rectangular and square slab test results. Satisfactory agreement between experimental and computed crack widths is noted. (a) (TRRL)
