CONSIDERACIONES ECONOMICAS SOBRE LA ELECCION DE LA MAQUINAS PARA REVESTIMIENTOS BITUMINOSOS

The author outlines considerations to be made in selecting equipment for bituminous resurfacing, from an economic viewpoint. Among these considerations are: general principles of economics; ecological problems; fuel costs for drying and heating of aggregates; realizable savings in selection of aggregates; economic advantages derived from using drum-mixers, ecological advantages of using drum-mixers; recycling of aggregates and other pavement components obtained by tearing up old pavements; and other considerations.
