ON THE MOTION SAFETY OF SHIP AND OCEAN GOING PLATFORMS
The primary requirement that ships and ocean-going platforms must fulfil is that they be seaworthy, yet the criteria by which to judge a system's seaworthiness and the means by which to insure it are not altogether in hand. Comments are made on the shortcomings of the present technique, with reference to the description of sea conditions and to capsizing in roll. Suggestions for improvement are made. Order from NSFI as No. 19509.
