INFLUENCE OF COMPACTION OF ASPHALT MIXTURE ON GROOVING STABILITY

アスファルト混合物の締固め度がグルービングの塑性変形抵抗性に及ぼす影響

The authors carried out WT tests under the tire pressure of 1.1 MPa using grooved test specimens that were prepared with different compaction method and degree. The specimens whose compaction degree are arranged to 100% with steel compactor and rubber tire showed at most 1.4 times higher residual volume of groove when they are compared with the specimens whose compaction degree is 98%. Moreover, cores sampled from non-grooved test specimens were scanned by means of X-ray CT scanner to evaluate compaction degree of near surface of asphalt mixture. As a result, range from 2mm to 5mm in depth of the mixture which was compacted by steel compactor was higher compaction degree than that of the mixture which was compacted by steel compactor and rubber tire. In addition, there was a positive correlation between grooving stability and the compaction degree of range from 2mm to 5mm in depth. アスファルト混合物の締固め方法や締固め度を変えて作製したWT供試体にグルービングを施工し,接地圧1.1MPaのWT試験によりグルービングの塑性変形抵抗性を評価した.その結果,航空機の走行を模擬したゴム輪の走行で締固め度を約98%から約100%に高めた場合,グルービングの残存率は最大で約1.4倍となることを示した.また,グルービングを施工していないWT供試体から採取したコアをX線CTで撮影し,アスファルト混合物表面近傍の締固め度を評価した.その結果,ゴム輪の走行による締固めで深さ2~5mmの締固め度が高くなることと,深さ2~5mmの平均締固め度がグルービングの残存率と正の相関を示すことを示した.
