Driving Frequency Associated with Deficits in Lower Extremity Function, Dynamic Vision, and Physical Activity in Japanese Older Adults

Driving frequency is positively associated with lower extremity function. Significant association between driving frequency and dynamic vision was found. Low frequency drivers showed lower levels of physical activity. Using a bicycle may help to increase physical activity in non-drivers. Encouraging bicycle use would be an effective approach after driving cessation.
