SAMPLES SUBJECTED TO STATIC AND DYNAMIC COMPACTION FOR OBTAINING THE CBR OF FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS

ESPECIMENES COMPACTADOS ESTATICA Y DINAMICAMENTE PARA OBTENER EL CBR DENTRO DE LA TECNOLOGIA DEL PROYECTO DE PAVIMENTOS FLEXIBLES

Details are given of a comparative study of samples compacted statically and dynamically for obtaining the CBR of flexible pavements. The structure of the samples subjected to dynamic and static compaction is not substantially different from the laboratory CBR. With the CBR the average bearing capacity value is subject to less statistical variability, and the time for preparing the sample is also markedly shorter in samples prepared by static compaction so that this type of compaction is recommended.
