Wakefulness-Keeping Effect and Driving Safety by Active Action While Driving

運転中の能動的行為によるドライバの覚醒維持効果と運転安全性

The present study constructs a system which performs wakefulness-keeping support based on the driver’s active action. Driving simulator experiments were conducted to compare two types of the proposed support systems which employ body movement or speech as the active action with a conventional system which provides a warning when detecting the driver’s drowsiness. Moreover, the authors verified the effectiveness of the proposed system on wakefulness-keeping and driving safety.本研究では,ドライバ自身の能動的行為によって覚醒度維持を支援するシステムを構築する.ドライビングシミュレータ実験を行い,能動的行為として体動または発話によって操作する二種類の支援システムと眠気検知時に警報が鳴る従来の眠気対策を比較し,提案手法の覚醒維持効果と運転安全性に与える影響について検証する.
