Classification and Analysis of Torque-vectoring Differentials with Torque Difference Amplification Mechanism

トルク差増幅型トルクベクタリング装置の分類と解析

A lateral torque vectoring differential (TVD) enhances the vehicle cornering performance by making the torque difference between the right and left wheels of a vehicle. This paper describes a two-motor-torque difference amplification mechanism which is suitable for a TVD of electric powered vehicles. All planetary gear drives, from which a TVD with torque difference amplification mechanism is constructed, are shown by using velocity diagram analysis. After the evaluation of each TVD’s characteristics, the most suitable construction of the TVD for its light-weightiness and compactness is investigated.トルクベクタリング装置(以下TVD)は,左右輪間のトルク差を発生させることで車両に作用する直接ヨーモーメントを制御して車両運動性能を向上できる.本論文では,電動乗用車用2モータトルク差増幅型TVDを実現する遊星歯車列をすべて洗い出す.さらにその特性を評価することで,小型軽量化に好適な構成を考察する.
