Hydrogen Concentrations Measurement in Diesel Exhaust Gas by Using Solid Electrolyte Hydrogen Sensor

Hydrogen concentration in diesel exhaust gas was measured on engine test bench by using hydrogen sensor of solid electrolyte ceramics which can measure only hydrogen selectively by proton conduction, which enables measurement of hydrogen concentration in situ and continuously. In this study, the hydrogen concentration found to be different from that of measured dissolved organic carbon (DOC) in front and behind. In addition, the authors also measured hydrogen concentration changes under loaded state and idle state.
