Experimental Study about Effectiveness of Providing Fun on Driver Behavior


The authors' research goal is to provide “fun” for drivers as a reward for safe driving, and to encourage spontaneous safe driving. An expressway driving game, which encourages drivers to keep the speed limit spontaneously, was proposed in the authors' previous study. The present manuscript discusses the effectiveness of the game on driver behavior by using dozens of normal drivers’ data. The results revealed that many drivers felt fun for the game, and the game could provoke spontaneous behavioral change of keeping the speed limit.筆者らは,安全運転の対価として“楽しさ”を提供することで,ドライバに自発的な安全運転を促すことを目指している.本稿では,高速道路において規制速度の遵守を促すことを目的とした高速道路走行ゲームを対象に,数十名の一般ドライバから取得した走行データを用いて,ゲームが運転行動に与える影響を考察する.
