WIND FORCES AND MOMENTS MEASURED ON A WATERLINE MODEL OF THE CONTAINER SHIP TOKYO BAY
Wind-tunnel measurements of the time-averaged longitudinal and side forces and heeling and yawing moments were made on a waterline model of the container ship Tokyo Bay. Various conditions of upper-deck cargo and draught were examined in a vertical wind-speed gradient approximating to that of the earth's atmosphere. Results are presented in the form of non-dimensional coefficients which can be used to calculate full-scale forces and moments. Order from BSRA as No. 52,627.
