Cognitive Training Interventions to Improve Young Drivers’ Speed Management Behaviour: Effects, Implications, and Perspectives

Cognitive training is effective in improving young drivers’ speed management. The effectiveness of these methods depends on the type of training provided. Feedback is the most effective intervention across all tested conditions. Self-explanation is effective over six months period, but in low-speed zones only. Reflection is effective only one week post-training in low-speed zones.
