Wall-Impingement and Combustion Characteristics of Directly Injected Fuel Sprays


In direct-injection spark-ignition engines, PM tends to be emitted caused by poor evaporation and combustion of fuel sprays impinging on the combustion chamber wall. An experimental study was carried out to visualize such phenomena at temperatures and pressures reproduced in a constant volume chamber. The results show that ambient and wall temperatures are major factors influencing the amount of fuel film attached on the wall, its evaporation and combustion and PM formation. A numerical simulation model has been developed to predict the processes of fuel film formed on the wall and its evaporation on.直噴ガソリンエンジンでは燃料の壁面付着によるPM,HCの発生が問題となる.本研究では,筒内温度,密度を再現した定容容器内にイソオクタンを噴射し,その噴霧が壁面衝突した際の付着,蒸発,PM生成及び燃焼特性に及ぼす影響因子について調査した.また数値シミュレーションモデルにより燃料付着と蒸発過程の記述を試みた.
