Development of Dynamic Pressure Measurement Method between Piston and Cover at Lock-up Clutch in Automatic Transmission Using Thin-film Sensor


In order to measure the lock-up clutch contact pressure, multi-layer thin-film sensor was developed and measured the dynamic pressure distribution between facing part of lock-up clutch and the surface of torque convertor cover according to the differential pressure. As a result of comparing the measured value of a pressure sheet and a thin-film pressure sensor with a conventional sensing part, newly developed sensor formed on the cover surface was able to measure the pressure distribution correctly without measurement error by the cover deformation. Therefore dynamic continual contact pressure change from facing outside to inner side became measurable.トランスミッションのロックアップクラッチ部におけるピストンとカバーの接触状態は,温度の上昇を引き起こし耐久性に影響を与えるため,ロックアップ作動領域を決定する上で重要となる.この接触状態を動的に把握するため,特殊な薄膜圧力センサを開発し,接触圧力分布計測に成功した.この計測手法と結果を報告する.
