SIMULATION OF THE DYNAMIC STABILITY OF FOUR-WHEELED VEHICLES

UNDERSOEKNING AV FYRHJULIGA FORDONS DYNAMISKA STABILITET GENOM SIMULERING

Short durable side wind forces on a four-wheeled vehicle were simulated by means of a digital computer. The wind force affects the vehicle at the central gravity and the system is of open-loop type. The behaviour of the model was registered and studied. It was concluded that the behaviour of the vehicle after wind impact is directly dependent on axle distance and centre of gravity. (TRRL)
