Modeling of a Risk Avoidance Behavior in a Crossing Pedestrian Scenario


This paper aimed to model the driver’s risk avoidance behavior in a crossing pedestrian scenario during the normal driving on the test track. The authors investigated the driver’s avoidance maneuver and his judgment whether he avoid / not avoid the pedestrian from the post experiment interview. As a result, the authors found that the driver’s risk avoidance behavior can be explained by the time to the conflict point of the driver (TTC) and that of the pedestrian (TTV).歩行者事故低減のため通常時のドライバの回避行動を明らかにすることは重要である.横断歩行者に対する回避行動がどのような物理量で判断されているかを明らかにすることを目的とし,見通しの良い直線路におけるドライバの行動を解析,歩行者と自車側の接近時間を基にドライバの回避行動が説明できる見通しを得た.
