Assessment of Pedestrian Lower Limb Injury Prediction using Legform Impactors


The Flexible Pedestrian Legform Impactor (FlexPLI) significantly differs from the conventional EEVC legform in terms of bone stiffness and leg fracture measures. This study first clarified the correlation of peak injury measures between a human model and legform models representing both legform impactors. Since the most significant difference was seen with the leg fracture measures, the mechanism behind the difference was further investigated by using an isolated leg model. The results showed that both the bone stiffness and the use of different injury measures affect the correlation with the human response.フレキシブル脚部インパクタ(FlexPLI)では,EEVC インパクタに対し骨部の剛性と下腿部骨折評価指標が異なる.本研究では,簡易車両モデルを用いて両インパクタの人体モデルとの相関を検証し,差異の顕著な下腿部骨折評価について,簡易脚部モデルにより差異の発生メカニズムを明らかにした.
